President Charles A. Fowler
Welcome to Carson-Newman! Since beginning my service as President in the summer of 2019, it has been a distinct privilege to serve alongside one of the most capable teaching faculty and dedicated staff at any Christ-centered university in the nation. We are so grateful for how the Lord is at work on this campus in the lives of our students.
During these 5+ years, the Lord has led our faculty, staff, and trustees to envision His preferred future for Carson-Newman. We articulate these anticipated new programs, new and renovated facilities, and a renewed commitment to the fullest expression of our Christ-centered mission in every aspect of our work. You can already witness the transformational effect this has had on our campus with the new Drama and Ted Russell Center, the West Campus Commons, the West Campus Recreation Park and improvements to most of our facilities on campus. We have launched new and innovative academic programs, with many more to come. It is a great time to study, work and live at Carson-Newman.
Thankfully, we anticipate more new developments in the coming years, such as new science facilities, a new home for Sociology, Psychology, History and Political Science, Education and Counseling. We are making plans for a new track facility and other exciting additions to make our student learning experience effective, fun and missionally-centered.
We are grateful you have chosen to visit us via our website. I would like to invite you to visit us on our campus. These are great days at Mossy Creek. God is changing lives, impacting communities and sending well-equipped graduates into classrooms, courtrooms, boardrooms, hospitals, churches, the mission field and the marketplace through Carson-Newman. We would love for you to join us in this transformational time for our university and those working and studying here.
Grateful,
Charles
